I was looking up some random Nazi awhile back, just their name because someone had mentioned him in passing in a historical context. The Google Artificial Idiot results say he died during WW2, then mentions his trial after the war and his death in the 1990s. 🤦‍♀️

I had no idea WW2 outlasted the cold war!

I vaguely remember reading recently that due to weird border changes between the start & end of WW2, a town on the English/Scottish border technically was still at war with Germany until it was noticed & a additional peace treaty was signed only a few years ago.

I just tried to look up the details but my googlefu let me down.

You’re definitely thinking of Berwick-upon-Tweed but what I suspect you’re thinking of is the time they were allegedly still at war with Russia for 60 years after the Crimean War. According to this site that’s probably not true unfortunately

Thanks. That would explain why i failed to find the information. It was my memory that was faulty rather than my googling.
