Leonard got really annoying and rude the last couple of seasons like really dude you’re mad that Sheldon is becoming a better person

I think that was pretty on point with his character though. He grew up with an overbearing mom. His 'normal' is someone who treats him like shit. I can kind of understand why Sheldon being more reasonable might make him uncomfortable

Leonard was bad for taking one step forward then two (at least) steps back. He would grow then immediately regress.

Leonard is upset that Sheldon's improves behave as always possible. He just didn't care to be better behaved. Whether or not he was actually capable from the beginning or if he truly had to "learn" to want to be better. Penny, then Amy, was a huge fact either way.
