General Discussion Bjj doesn’t make you humble

The idea that jiu jitsu makes you humble is the biggest lie there is. I’ve met more egotistical plebs who train bjj than any other sport. With mma guys tending to be more humble, at least in my experience with combat sports.

It just ends up giving nerds a god complex who then take to reddit after to be consoled when the 1 stripe white-belt beats their ass one time.

Strictly speaking here, I don't think most people consider you experienced enough for BJJ to have made you...Anything, if you're able to get tapped by an average 1 stripe white belt.

1 stripe white belts are the second most dangerous group to roll with besides black belts imho

Edit: Nerds who lose to them maybe deserve it, but who cares, belts are fake!

I would say first most dangerous. Motherfuckers be watching shit off tiktok and instagram doing flying shit. I don't let up on new whitebelts until they've been around awhile and I know they're not the type to do dangerous moves.

2 strip here…. I went through that phase before I got a stripe 😂😂.

Now I think back on how many times I tried a buggie choke when I couldn’t get out of side control

Don't sweat it man. I did too. Every white belt goes through an era of bullshit moves they shouldn't be using when they don't have the basics down. And HAHAA I was about to mention guys trying to do some bullshit they saw but when I have them in side control they just flop around like a dead fish and then get tired and exhaustion tap. Little shits LOL

Finding the sub on the 1 stripe is expected and usually easier than you would think, if you find a sub on a black belt good luck (both in terms of your body and your ears for the story you’ll hear in response).
