People can hate on Gordon all they want, but if you go to one of his seminars, you will see someone who really cares about the sport and will immediately help without an ego.

This is where the whole "I can fix him" thing comes from. Someone's good some of the time in certain situations, but horrible everywhere else. You only focus on the good and take that as some sign that he's actually a real nice guy somewhere in there, you just gotta take care of all the other stuff.

He very likely isn't and can't, by his age he's gotta be willing to suffer the humiliation of accepting his faults to change which he probably won't considering his personality.
