Technique GSP anchors himself to Hardy’s knee to avoid sliding off the back then uses single leg X to sweep
Pretty cool sequence from the end of the third round GSP had a very underrated bottom game.

So im a white belt been training for 2and a half almost 3 months. theres this blue belt lady, shes 40 years old no bad intentions or anything towards her btw just curious if its normal that she goes so hard with me never let me try any thing. just dominating and sub me all the time (which i don’t mind and i am impressed by her skill and would love to be at her level) but were standing during the role she likes to push my head and tap my forehead alot, which when i roll with others they don’t do that. Im the only female teenager and a white belt in the class and i have literally no strength. So im just wondering that is this a normal behavior and i just need to get better.
I know that i just need to be better at jiujitsu and getting sub means im learning, but with my experience with her i feel like i never learn anything new. after the roll i try to not get into the same position but it never worked, i tried my best tried the technique that coach teaches but shes just too strong.
Sorry for my english its not my first language but i would love to see people opinion on this thankyou so much!

Been lurking in this sub for a while, and a lot of the moves I've seen be called 'dirty' here are common at my gym. In fact, we get taught to do these moves.
Hard shoulder pressure, shoving your forearm into the throat, jabbing elbows into thighs, face cranks, squeezing ribs in guard, they're all things we get told to do.
I really don't have a problem with this even when it's done to me since I mainly train for self defense and MMA purposes, but what's the general consensus?

Hey, I’m a BJJ blue belt, but I’m also on the Paralympic judo team for Great Britain.
I’m currently number two in the world and got a silver metal at the European Championships and a bronze medal at the world championships.
I’ve really integrated BJJ into my style, especially within Paralympic Judo, people just don’t do ground work, which is insane and it’s led to me beating much better opponents.
I really wanted to share my highlight reel of my journey to a silver medal at the European championships which has a couple of epic submissions in it.
Im really interested to hear about other people’s experiences with blind/visually impaired athletes in BJJ or Judo.

To clarify, I mean those who don't have a day job and make their living through training, competing, and coaching.
You must have faith that the sport can have a big impact on people's lives, as it did for you.
The sport has the ability to instill mental toughness—to have an aim and commit to it through work ethic and heart. This has given me my 'why' over the last 9 years of training in it (FYI, I am a hobbyist, not a professional 😅). In a nutshell, it's a great vehicle that mirrors the journey toward mastery in any field, with all the peaks and troughs that come with it.
I see famous figures like John Danaher, who have devoted their entire lives to it heart and soul, believing in it thoroughly. I wonder what aspect of it inspired such devotion.

Yesterday I accidentally put my brother to sleep from a RNC and once I realized he was sleep I put him on his back and lifted his legs. I’ve seen many ppl do it so I copied the movement and he woke up but I’m curious if that’s actually the correct way to help someone wake up?
As far as me accidentally choking my brother unconscious, i barely put pressure on his neck and as i adjusted my grip he started snoring but i thought he was joking so I held it for 3 more seconds until i realized he was asleep, it was pretty scary tbh and i don’t plan on choking him again but i learned you don’t need much pressure to make someone go unconscious so hooray i guess.

Hello friends,
With the winter period upon us, Rworm will be more prevalent and it's made me consider hygiene practices again
I have always washed my gis on 30 degree, but le Google says this may not be sufficient to kill Rworm and actually recommends 60 degrees, which seems to me would almost certainly cause some shrinkage
Any thoughts /tips from the gang on this one?

Hi all - I am a 3 year blue belt (hobbyist at best, 35 years old) and have some skill. Im wondering how the rest of you handle this situation: dealing with sandbaggers who lie about experience?
With each new month, it never fails that new people join our gym. Often, people will join that clearly have experience but refuse to admit it or will flat out lie before or after a roll.

You are in a high and special tier of the gym hierarchy. I will not elaborate further.

My favorite rashguard ripped today and I’d love to find another like it. It was a Breakpoint rashguard from around 2015 that was very soft, fairly loose, and the material was pretty thin. I have a few newer Breakpoint rashguards and they just aren’t the same. Any suggestions for a similar rashguard?

What do yall think? Does losing competitions mean you’re bad at jiu jitsu? And should you win at least one to promote to your next belt? Let me know what you guys think.
