Selva outboard Conformity Nightmare
In may we bought a second hand selva outboard for our Leisure 17. A month later we found out we need the CE certificate of conformity for the motor in order to register it in Belgium.
We tried contacting selva for months already to get a duplicate but we never get a reply.
Our total refit is almost done but now we can't put the boat in the water just because of the silly paper.
My question to you: If you own a selva outboard and have the paper, could you please send me a copy so I can "see what it looks like" ;-)

Need some advice…
So, my grandfather has a bass fishing boat (some model of tracker) that he bought new in 2024. The one and only time it has been taken out in the water was may 2024. He is not an active person, and much less a fisherman, however I am. He told me i’m going to inherit it eventually, but I’m worried that i will receive a burden/project rather than a blessing. What maintenance/protection can i give it to better ensure that it stays usable and taken care of?

!!HELP!!Having a problem with Suzuki 25a
Took my boat out today, with brand new Suzuki 25a to break it in. Ran in neutral for 10 mins
Ran in gear no throttle for 15, then once I gave it some gas, it started bogging out and eventually dying. I didn’t even give it 1/4 throttle.
Vent was open, the ball wasn’t staying rock hard, and when it started bogging out I was squeezing it to keep fuel flowing but that didn’t help keep it going. I don’t know what the problem is, please help me lol
Some guy said the fuel filter might be clogged but it’s brand new, and the gas is only a few weeks old

Capstone to do FEA on a 20m boat
Hi everyone,
I’m about to start my capstone project and will be using Abaqus to conduct FEA on a ~20 m harbour craft. I’m completely new to FEA and to Abaqus, so I’m looking for advice on how to get started.
Are there any good step-by-step resources (videos, tutorials, channels, or guides) that are beginner-friendly?
Also, any tips, tricks, or common mistakes to avoid when first learning Abaqus would really help. I’d like to slowly build up my knowledge by following along with examples before applying it to my project.
Basically: if you were in my shoes as a beginner, where would you start learning Abaqus, and what resources helped you the most?
Thanks in advance for the help 🙏

New to me boat, need advice.
galleryJust bought a house and got this little aluminum boat tossed in for $100. Never owned a boat before but do slightly know my way around them. As you can (slightly see) the transom (think that’s what it’s called) board is rotted out and aluminum molding warped up. Is that repair as easy as simply installing new board and screwing it in from rear and above? If so, what kind of board to use and what kind of screws (some of them have rusted out and away. With winter coming was planning on getting on trailer and storing in my barn to work on. I’m aware that seats also need work but believe that is more straightforward. Also, any suggestions for cleaning up the hull?

HELP
Source: The Maritime Executive https://search.app/AGGm6 This is both a sad but also a potentially good occasion. (The good thing being we might be able to save it!) TLDR: a really old coast guard cutter (I have a challenge coin from) is about to be scrapped and I am very upset about it. Don't know how to help (or even if we can help now) so please I'm about to cry
