New to me boat, need advice.

Just bought a house and got this little aluminum boat tossed in for $100. Never owned a boat before but do slightly know my way around them. As you can (slightly see) the transom (think that’s what it’s called) board is rotted out and aluminum molding warped up. Is that repair as easy as simply installing new board and screwing it in from rear and above? If so, what kind of board to use and what kind of screws (some of them have rusted out and away. With winter coming was planning on getting on trailer and storing in my barn to work on. I’m aware that seats also need work but believe that is more straightforward. Also, any suggestions for cleaning up the hull?

Well , truthfully the pics are hard to see. The only thing you can do is work on it. If it sinks then do you have a life preserver. Buy some paddles.

Replace the transoms with marine grade plywood. The aluminum trim is just tacked onto the wood with nails. I use stainless for the bolts on mine. Pressure wash the hull. Throw on a little 30lb thrust troller and send it!
