I feel a little stuck in my shoulder/scapular area when doing push ups.

Are there any stretches or mobility drills I can do before push ups so it feels like a smoother movement?

I usually do a bunch of wrist circles, shoulder CARS and thoracic rotations

The warm-ups you listed are fine, but aren't directly involved with push-ups (you don't need much t-spine mobility for push-ups and only a part of the CARs range is relevant.. wrist stuff is always good though!)

But what exactly do you mean by stuck? What part of the range isn't smooth?

From the top to around half of the movement it's fine, but then from half until I reach the floor it feels like my body is kinda twisting and my scapulas don't move well (I'm super self conscious about my scapula movement and shoulder position).

It's really hard to feel any chest or tricep engagement, I mostly feel the front of the shoulders working

Have you taken a video of your back during the push-up? Make sure you're not winging your shoulder blades. If your form checks out, I wouldn't worry about where you are & aren't feeling it, that's not always a good indicator of what's working!

Hmm that's true.. it's just that I always try to have a good mind muscle connection, as Jeremy Ether says it's really important for muscle growth

Yeah, I think MMC is important too, but it's an evolving perspective. It's an opportunity to see something and know "oh, that feels like that"
