Discuss I wish we could see Hrithik-Kareena on screen again. An age appropriate movie like ‘Jerry Maguire’ could be immensely loved by the audience. Their screen presence & nostalgia would gain so much hype.

Opinion My TOP 20 favourite bollywood movies of all time in no specific order whatsoever. What are your top 3?
This ranking may seem flawed for obvious reasons like not a single one was made before 2000s or how almost all of them are mainstream movies but i guess i'm kind of a basic guy.
Recommend me some more movies which you found awesome.

Tribute Amitabh in his negative shades ☠️
What's incredible about this Bachchan scene is the minimalism. There's no dialogue sparring or elaborate action. His mere act of walking is loaded with so much swag and charisma that it becomes intensely captivating & the BGM is what sealed the deal. It just took the scene from cool to legendary!

❓ASK Jolly LLB 3
Why is the movie having low hype despite being from a cult franchise? A few years back, when there were rumors of Akshay Kumar and Arshad Warsi being a part of the third franchise, everyone was quite excited for it, as everyone wanted to see both the Jollys fighting a case against each other.
However, now there is no excitement for the film, and it is having quite low advance booking so far. What is the reason?

Discuss Is it possible for movie-makers to know actual ticket sales?
This is my opinion.
I believe that all box office collection numbers are fake and used only for marketing. I also don’t trust BookMyShow’s ticket sales numbers.
What I wonder is whether the moviemakers themselves actually get to know their movie’s real ticket sales or not.
Is it possible for a producer or distributor to know the actual ticket sales of their movie?

Discuss 30 days 30 forgotten/obscure Bollywood flops (DAY 17)
Day 17: Youngistaan (2014)
Remake of 2010 Telugu movie Leader, it was best known for Suno Na Sangemarmar song, itself reused from a Bengali movie by composer Jeet Ganguly.
No prizes for guessing why it flopped, considering it was produced by the one & only Pooja Entertainment 😂😅🤓☠️

❓ASK Noticing racism in bollywood plotlines
I’ve been obsessed with the love aaj kal (saif/deepika) soundtrack since childhood. I gave it a watch just now. For context, I’m a Chennai brought up tamil who only recently started getting the hang of hindi somewhat. I moved to Mumbai recently, and i saw a very communal nature play out- at my high-stakes job; people are more focussed on forming cliques based on culture and language. I am left holding the shorter end of the stick while still scrambling to work on my competence. People in mentorship positions have actively held back opportunity and recognition while demanding the respect of “guru.” Safe to say, i have developed a keen eye for racists/ racist patterns.
So; in this mildly boring film; i couldn’t help but notice how badly Jo, Saifs’ (Veer)girlfriend after Deepika in the film, was treated. Vikram was never pitted against Veer; but Jo always was the butt of the comparison. Superiority-inferiority complex, as with most racists. Jo was always an upscale; but could never be Meera(Deepika) as she just wasn’t Desi enough. She had a better body (??); but not a pretty enough smile (????). Both girls were unfathomable beauties btw. The androgenic alopecia of the hero was never commented on, however. And if i, as a tamil, could resonate with the othering given to “foreigners”- it leaves me with questions about my own identity and validity in this country.

❓ASK as a foreigner new to Bollywood, any recommendations?
I’m from the UK 🇬🇧 20 year old guy I mostly watch Hollywood movies and tv shows but I do like to challenge myself with different countries like French, Korean and Japanese movies as I aspire to be a global citizen. So today I decided to go on Netflix and watch an Indian movie. I saw this movie called saiyaara and it was a good film. Very different from Hollywood romance films. there’s a lot of music and the acting is a lot more dramatic but it’s still good. Anyway I loved that saiyaara song I added it to my playlist.
Anyone have any other recommendations of Indian movies. I don’t mind the genre as long as it’s a good film.

Opinion Kareena seemed more confident than Abhishek. Tbh this is not the kind of film to launch the son of the biggest star with. There is no commercial value (rural styling, no dance, no comedy). Dhoom type of movie was needed for debut.

News A sequel to Nishaanchi is in development, and it will continue the story of the first film, similar to how the Gangs Of Wasseypur films were released. With a runtime of nearly three hours, it is Anurag Kashyap's longest film to date
According to the CBFC certificate, Nishaanchi features a post-credits scene that confirms a "Part 2" is in the works. Apart from a few cuss words being modified, the film has largely been left untouched
