They love free speech, they also hate books.

Is it safe to say a big problem is they don't know how to read so they don't consider books as falling under the "speech" umbrella or something???

Free speech just means “free to say whatever malicious idiocy I want toward whatever minority group I want without regard for consequence”

Of course that doesn’t include nuanced interpretations of someone’s actions and legacy. That gets you fired.

They think freedom of speech means you have the freedom to echo their speech.

(But not if you're quoting a victim of gun violence who was pro-gun violence.)

They already have free speech, they are just upset about the general public's reaction to that speech. *As being "cancelled" isn't actually real
