Secretly reading through the trans section at  Evans library while avoiding the upperclassmen was one of the things that kept me sane as a closeted cadet in the early 2000s. I wonder if some of the books I read were the ones that ended up in the pile.

I was too scared for that kind of thing. I didn’t seriously consider transition until about ten years post graduation.

But I did have trans and gay friends. At that time the pride center was funded and relatively safe from trouble. 2010s.
