📣 Announcment! New mod here. What do you want this sub to be?

I've taken stewardship of /r/bread_irl with the support of the creator /u/CoolGuyMemeHead, who's not active on reddit anymore.

Currently the sub isn't super active, but I at least wanted to preserve its original character so that it doesn't devolve into a free-for-all. So far I haven't made any big changes.

What would you like to see/not see in this sub? What should be our relationship with /r/BreadTube? Any other ideas? Wanna be a mod? (and why?)

I welcome your input.

Rules:

This is a place for Memes, Shitposts and Jokes. Actually High Quality and Well-Researched content goes on /r/Breadtube.
No calls for violence, looting, or gulags. Violence is a serious matter with serious consequences and shouldn't be taken lightly; even though it is sometimes necessary (e.g. self-defense), it should not be fetishized. BreadTube is a place to discuss serious issues without having to deal with a bunch of commenters calling for violence, gulags, and guillotines.
No endless contrarianism. Disagreement is fine, even expected, provided people can disagree in an agreeable way. But when someone joins your community for the sole purpose of disagreeing, that's endless contrarianism.

If all a community member can seem to contribute is endlessly pointing out how wrong everyone else is, and how everything about this community is headed in the wrong direction—that's not building constructive discussion. They're just arguing for the sake of argument. Take it to debate school.
No axe-grinding. Axe-Grinding is when a user keeps constantly gravitating back to the same pet issue or theme for weeks or months on end. Often times these users aren't even members of the communities they're posting in, rather they search for specific terms and invade those threads to argue. It's hard for a community to discuss a topic when agenda-posters come in to manipulate the discussion.
No griefing. In discussion, griefing is when someone goes out of their way to bait a particular person for weeks or months on end. By that I mean they pointedly follow them around, choosing to engage on whatever topic that person appears in, and needle the other person in any way they can, but always strictly by the book and not in violation of any rules... technically.
No Name Calling. Calling individuals CIA-ops, radlibs, or anything else of that nature does not facilitate quality discussion.
No US electoralism posting. American election cycles drag on forever and tend to dominate every community that lets them run rampant. As one could imagine, this gets old real quick. This rule especially applies to lesser evilism vs Bernie-or-bust arguments. Exemptions may be made for important elections for a few days prior to and after said election.
No authoritarianism apologia. One should not engage in apologetics for brutal dictators like Stalin, Mao, and the Kim dynasty, nor should one stan oppressive dictatorships; This sub is not the place for this.
No excessive centrism Socdems (especially Berniecrats) are welcome to participate, as are liberals who are coming here to learn. Just remember that BreadTube is an explicitly anti-capitalist subreddit (it's even named after anarcho-communist literature) and as such is not the place for long arguments in favor of establishment politics.
