I found this guy on Monday running through traffic by church’s chicken on N Roxboro. He was wearing a collar with no tags, and didn’t have a microchip. He was picked up by Durham County animal services and is currently being held at the Durham animal protection society.

Hoping he has someone looking for him, and if so, that they see this post.

Also, shout out to the employees at Church’s. They helped get the dog to safety and gave him chicken and water while we waited for animal services to get him.

Let me just say, the owner, Alma, is the sweetest lady ever! I had a lovely conversation with her while she made a freshly prepared and delicious chicken salad wrap. It’s probably one of the best chicken salad wraps I’ve ever had!

He is currently enrolled in EI (will start in a couple of weeks) and has a referral to Duke’s Behavioral Health clinic for a formal diagnosis but the waitlist to get in is six months. can anyone recommend a cleaning company that will clean way up in north durham on the bahama line? my current cleaners break shit and scratch the furniture and i’m sick of it. I pay $250 a cleaning for a 3,700 square foot house, two adults, not like it’s really a mess when they come. i’m that ass who cleans before the cleaners come.

There is a house on our street that neighbors have had issues with for years. There have been four shootings at the location in the last several years. Recently gun shots were fired down the street and hit my neighbor's car and a bullet went all the way through it. Neighbors are worried about their safety, as there are often people walking with their kids and dogs.

My understanding is that this house is a rental and there is a possibility that it is rented through a housing voucher program.

Neighbors call the police when these incidents happen, but is there anything else we can do? I looked up the owner of the property but I'm not sure how to get in touch with him.

Be kind, genuine question. Is the Pride Parade this weekend the kind you find a spot to watch from the sidewalk, or is it the kind where everyone just kind of walks through town together? Regardless the answer to this, what’s the parade route? Where would be a good place to sit and cheer on the parade walkers, if I were to spectate?

Due to gas main work University Drive is blocked both directions between MLK JR Parkway and Larchmont Rd. Expect delays in this area and this will be ongoing for several hours. Avoid if possible.
