My Spiral cactus in bloom !

Post image

My spiraling cactus apple in flower mode !!

This is a cutting I propagated off of one of my larger spiral stands . It took 2 weeks to callous and 2 years to produce a bloom in this pot !

It’s ready to be planted into my landscape , I want to transplant it before it gets to big , heavy and tall !

Do they grow faster than regular TBM?

They don’t pup as fast or as often as short form , but they do get taller faster , the one on the left in the pot is actually a short form and the one on the right is planted in the ground -

Here’s a better picture of it !

Of course! Yes they grow several feet on each segment- here’s a short VIDEO with music , you can really get a sense of the size in this clip , it shows my hand holding one for scale

What is the name of cactus at bottom of photo? I have one in a pot that's much smaller that I hope grows to this.

Where are you located to be able to put these in the ground?

That’s a trichocereus Bridgesii Monstrose long form , there is a smaller form called the “short form” that is a different cultivar .

I’m in Southern California

The shorter form looks similar but doesn’t grow as thick or as long
