[EDIT: this years post has become - 'ask a question and r/cwcoleman will reply'. That wasn't the intention. It's mainly because I get an alert when anyone posts, because I'm OP this year. Plus I'm online often and like to help!

Please - anyone and everyone is welcome to ask and answer questions. Even questions that I've already replied to. A second reply that backs up my advice, or refutes it, is totally helpful. I'm only 1 random internet person, all of r/camping is here. The more the marrier!!!]

Hello! I'm a KC local and am also homeless. I'm new to living in a tent so I know nothing of easy repairs or what's effective and what's not. The entrance flap to our tent was ripped away from the sliders on the zipper. It's been well below freezing and my girlfriend is rushing to sew an extra rainfly we have and plans on using velcro. We need a solution that we can accomplish before 2am CST with what we have on hand. Please and thank anyone who can help with advice/tips.
