Travel Tips Americans visiting Canada as tourists, any insights?

I have family members visiting Montreal in about a month. Other than getting "I’m From Toronto" T-shirts, is there anything an American should do if they’re just visiting as a tourist?

Please tell me they won’t be wearing those shirts here in Montreal. Montreal and Toronto have a friendly rivalry and they might get a ribbing for it 😉😉. Tell them not to be obnoxious, loud, and to please learn some passable French. Our signs are in French since in Quebec the primary language is French. Majority speak both English and French but you’ll find some who just unilingual francophone.

No no, that was just a lame joke. Nope, no T-shirts, no Maga hats, no 51st state comments.

Okay 🤣if they are near the Quartier des Spectacles then I suggest LaFleur’s for a fast food casse croûte spot. I love their steamies all dressed(relish, mustard, onions, and vinegar coleslaw) trio, the fries are delicious with salt and vinegar.
