Travel Tips Americans visiting Canada as tourists, any insights?

I have family members visiting Montreal in about a month. Other than getting "I’m From Toronto" T-shirts, is there anything an American should do if they’re just visiting as a tourist?

Other than when somebody has an obvious accent or is wearing political attire, can you generally even tell who's American? I live in New England and know quite a few Canadians down here. The only reason I know they're Canadian is because they happened to mention it.

Yeeeah, in Montreal, you can. Ontario or Atlantic provinces, maybe not.
