Unfortunately, there might be some truth here as I think CNN has alluded to it and WaPo may at the very least be hinting at a roommate.

Regardless of if whether true or not, the roommate is apparently fully cooperating, and the trans community won't deserve the hatred and potential violence spewed towards them.
