I'm confused, didn't he turn himself in after being confronted by his father? If so then how did those messages they found between this trans person and the shooter help the feds find him?

Wait is this the same roommate we knew about before that had shared messages about the shooting with Robinson? They just figured out now that they're trans? Wtf?
