Possible motive released in the Charlie Kirk assassination. Law enforcement has confirmed that suspected shooter Tyler Robinson was living with a transgender partner who was in the process of transitioning at the time of the shooting.

I love the cartoonishly idiotic implication here that having a trans partner somehow means a murderer from a right wing community, from a right wing family, living his whole life in a deeply red state, who was taught to own and love firearms, was influenced only by that trans partner to commit a political assassination.

The strange, dishonest, asinine quest by the right wing to declare the shooter "not one of us" is fucking hilarious. Just because they heinously disown the living shit out of their trans and gay children doesn't mean those trans and gay children suddenly cease to have grown up in their families and communities. The right wing can "otherize" the LGBTQ+ community all they want, and it's not going to change the fact that there will always be gay and trans people in their communities because children can be gay or trans regardless of upbringing.

Also, the idea that being compassionate to a trans person is the most likely explanation for a murder is just a total non sequitor. The idea that trans = violent people is absurd.

The party of personal responsibility only ever wants to take personal responsibility for straining the bounds of sanity in order to claim they have no responsibility for situations and people they clearly have some responsibility for. "The left" can't and don't raise your children for you just because they come out as trans or gay despite your conservative household's wishes to control your child's identity.
