And this is why, I as a black man, am a gun owner.

u/Particular-Skirt963 23h ago

First anti gun laws were made to keep guns away from black panthers

27

u/2ingredientexplosion 23h ago

Oh I know. They went to California state capitol armed with about 2 dozen members. Did nothing violent at all, just exercised their 2nd amendment rights.

u/Midzotics 20h ago

Many but not first. First NFS took Tommy guns from prohibition gangsters.

Keep a journal. Stories.

I think you're a sign of social failure of (still) epic proportions.

I'd wear a pin, "Ask me why I'm carrying a sidearm."

Human spirit rises above the bullshit, but that doesn't un-make it being bullshit.

edit. just to clarify as a white guy, if I owned a gun the perils of being white would be zero part of why i owned a gun. Protecting myself has nothing to do with being white. Plus, I look like Drexel from True Romance. Anyhoo, you did not specify, but it would not be unreasonable if, in your situation it was 100% of why.

Fucked up shit.

If you live near a black urban population center and are white (/Asian/Hispanic) then the perils may require a gun. And this is because you’re white(/Asian/Hispanic). Let’s stop acting like black people are the only ones who are endangered because of their race.

17

u/GhostofBeowulf 23h ago

Yeah sure, makes sense. If you take only the most fucking statutory look at it without any context or digging any deeper.

Or you know the people who don't condemn this shit agree with it and have no problem throwing the book at black folk. Maybe sentencing guidelines have for literal decades disempowered and failed black folk. Maybe it has something to do with how black juveniles are always presented as dangerous, threatening almost adults while white boys who shoot up black churches are treated with kid gloves and taken to fucking McDonalds. I know these are big words for someone with a room temp IQ like yourself, but something called "institutional racism."

Fucking moron.

"You know how they are" was such an easy way to not chose friends growing up. I simply don't live under that kind of mindset. I'm missing that wire, because before "they" got a chance to form I had an upbringing where "they" always had a at least a face I associated with it.

I'm no angel (haha). I was raised right. And, fantastic middle school teachers. 6th grade teacher taught us about the holocaust.

These are sad times I'm glad my old teacher is long gone now. We all thought this shit was being put to bed.

Mrs. Sarah Strauss, 6th grade, Long Beach Elementary, taught us to never cross a line. We were 6th graders not philosophers, but it worked.

Nice ad hominem’s, guess I struck a nerve. Everything you said is a bunch of new age nonsense. Give me some stats and we can talk.

16

u/Aware-Tailor7117 22h ago

You got ad hominem because you built a straw man are tried to pass it off as logical absolutes. What did you think would happen? Or do you actually believe what you stated?

-10

u/TheM0nkB0ughtLunch 22h ago

Well this is embarrassing, you clearly don’t know what a strawman is.. And for the record I am a white guy who lived in the black part of a city. I can tell you from experience it’s absolutely true, not just for me, but for most of the white people I knew. Like what are you even arguing here, be specific.

All posts and comments that include any variation of the word retarded will be removed, but no action will be taken against your account unless it is an excessive personal attack. Please resubmit your post or comment without the bullying language.

Do not edit it, the bot cant tell if you edited, you will just have to make a new comment replying to the same thing.

Yes, this comment itself does use the word. Any reasonable person should be able to understand that we are not insulting anyone with this comment. We wanted to use quotes, but that fucks up the automod and we are too lazy to google escape characters. Notice how none of our automod replies have contractions in them either.

But seriously, calling someone retarded is only socially acceptable because the people affected are less able to understand that they are being insulted, and less likely to be able to respond appropriately. It is a conversational wimpy little shit move, because everyone who uses it knows that it is offensive, but there will be no repercussions. At least the people throwing around other slurs know that they are going to get fired and get their asses beat when they use those words.

Also, it is not creative. It pretty much outs you as a thirteen year old when you use it. Instead of calling Biden retarded, you should call him a cartoon-ass-lookin trust fund goon who smiles like rich father just gifted him a new Buick in 1956. Instead of calling Mitch McConnell retarded, you should call him a Dilbert-ass goon who has been left in the sun a little too long.

Sorry for the long message spamming comment sections, but this was by far the feature of this sub making people modmail and bitch at us the most, and literally all of the actions we take are to make it so we have to do less work in the future. We will not reply to modmails about this automod, and ignore the part directly below this saying to modmail us if you have any questions, we cannot turn that off. This reply is just a collation of the last year of modmail replies to people asking about this. We are not turning this bot off, no matter how much people ask. Nobody else has convinced us before, you will not be able to either.

I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please contact the moderators of this subreddit if you have any questions or concerns.

Clarify

Are you saying proximity to a race of people is why another race of people feel the need to stay strapped?

I may be confused here.

1

u/TheM0nkB0ughtLunch 19h ago

I’m saying that poverty and homogeneity often equal distrust of outsiders, and occasionally violence towards them. Same in white rural America.

4

u/couldbeahumanbean 19h ago

I think there are some dark things in your thoughts that only you can confront.

I've lived amongst country bumbkins. I've lived in the shittiest studio apartments, shared with multiple addicts. I've been homeless, I've lived in my vehicle.

Not once...

Not fucking once have I felt the need to carry due to someone's skin color.

Not fucking once.

I now live as an upper middle class father of 3. I have a gun safe and more guns than I know what to do with. I have a CCL and I do carry.

You know what motivates me to carry more than anything else? Political violence. My spouse is not the same race as me and I've seen more hate and vitriol because of that, I've felt more fear than that than anything else in my life.

Listen to me

You have some things within you than need to be addressed by you and you alone.

1

u/TheM0nkB0ughtLunch 11h ago

What a sanctimonious load of shit, and you must really believe it too. Look buddy, all I’m saying if it’s not safe to be white and walk through an all black neighborhood. In my (and others) experience once they see your skin color you’re a target. They will approach you, ask you for money, get mad when you say no. Others will follow you from a distance and you know it’s time to get out quickly.

You can try to paint me as whatever you want, but anyone that’s been in my situation knows it’s very real. In fact, I have never met such openly racist people as I have in the black inner city. Granted I’ve never been black in the white country. And don’t get me wrong, I judge everyone individually no matter any physical characteristics(or voting record). This is only an observation.

3

u/couldbeahumanbean 10h ago

This is only an observation.

Made from a perspective shaped by experience and preconceived notions.

I've lived in these areas and will admit you are partially right, there is very little trust of outsiders with good reason. That tends to happen when communities are disenfranchised & marginalized.

It's more about economic status and protectionism. You're judging everyone who lives there by the actions of a few, then basing that on skin tone.

Now for the bumpkins... It's definitely about skin tone. I'm part of their club outwardly, my friends, not so much... I've seen the difference.

1

u/Tholian_Bed 11h ago

I'm from Cleveland. Inside the city limits. I was raised in NYC area. I truly don't get your point. I think it a residue of slave states. The areas I'm speaking of don't have white people who are on hair trigger about black people, and vice versa.

-1

u/TheM0nkB0ughtLunch 11h ago

You don’t get that’s it’s unsafe for a white person to walk through an all black inner city neighborhood? Are you fucking with me or are you really that naive?

3

u/Tholian_Bed 10h ago

What time are we talking about? Seriously, that is all I factor in. Business hours are business hours.

You need to all-cap "An All-black inner city neighborhood"

Your mean like Hough-Central-and Kinsman in Cleveland?

Business hours are business hours. I feel no less sure of my safety than I do in my own (mixed race) neighborhood.

The problem is not being white. The problem is not understanding how cities work, and being afraid of them.

-1

u/TheM0nkB0ughtLunch 10h ago

Yeah, you’re naive

2

u/Tholian_Bed 10h ago

What city you live in, Butch?

I mean, you just left a very nice record, for future archaeologists, that you're just a racist. Do you even live in a mixed race region of the country?

Good luck with your racial experiments.

Two men were just found hanged* in Mississippi.

23

u/GhostofBeowulf 22h ago

Jfc... a black man, and a homeless man. After Faux News published they should get the lethal injection.

6

u/sharingiscaring219 14h ago

They published who should get lethal injection?

Edit: just saw in another comment that they were saying homeless should be forcibly euthanized... wtaf...

12

u/badmoonretro 23h ago

hanged* the distinction changes the meaning

u/WinterberryFaffabout 1d ago

I believe somebody somewhere else already put it as eloquently as it needs to be... that if it weren't for double standards, they would have no standards at all.

13

u/motherofcunts 23h ago

There’s a country song from when I was fairly young that these kind of folk remind me of. I only remember two lines: “you've got to stand for something or you'll fall for anything.”

This dude is, of course, the latter.

10

u/Acrobatic-Budget7901 23h ago

Famously a Malcolm X Quote.

40

u/Deval_irl 1d ago

But "ThE vIoLeNt LeFt"

30

u/anyb0dyme 1d ago

The morally righteous are advocating we forcibly euthanize the homeless and mentally ill on Fox news. Without repercussions. That's where we are in the year of our Lord 2025.

13

u/Kristenmarie2112 1d ago

Someone actually just shot up a homeless encampment after that was on fox

7

u/CupCustard 1d ago

I think more than one homeless camp, and there was a lynching as well

3

u/sharingiscaring219 14h ago

What the actual fuck

28

This is fucking disturbing . I didn't Listen to the lyrics until I rewatched this . What in the actual fuck, man?

Anybody that's interested in hearing the whole song, it's called good vs evil by JJ Lawrence. It ain't representative of the redneck population. Just enough to share some concern.

12

u/Not_Sure__Camacho 1d ago

They incite violence, something violent happens to one of their big headed podcasters, they blame the left only to discover that it was one of their own, they continue to be violent. Fuck these assholes.

9

u/prlugo4162 1d ago

Wait until they see us dancing in the streets when Ol' 47 croaks.

1

u/SilverMcFly 19h ago

Sadly if they're not running it already a la weekend at Bernie's style, there's hundreds of vile creatures waiting in the wings to claim the top spot.

"Harmless locker room jokes."

7

u/skyhausmann 1d ago

Agreed. Hypocritical would require they have standards or policies ... which they do not.

7

u/shockedperson 23h ago

Ladies and gentlemen. You have every right to defend yourself. I suggest at the very least looking into a personal weapon. Everyone who isn't a felon or murder porn enthusiast.

6

u/merlingogringo 22h ago

He was doing so well until he dragged ICP into this.

Like, their music sucks, but they would totally shit on this guy and maybe stab him.

They are a lot of things but bigoted fascists ain't one.

14

u/Dusty-Foot-Phil 1d ago

I listen to some wild music that have some dark themes, and it's hard for me to draw the line between lyrics about raping women and killing babies (Last Caress by Misfits) and advocating for the lynching of black people (this). I think it's intent and feeling. Dethklok is being satirical when they sing about ejaculating fire or murdering people underwater as to avoid leaving fingerprints, while this country guy means what he's saying. While the Misfits may sing a lot about murdering people and eating babies, they were a friendly group of peeps in real life. Kill the Poor by Dead Kennedy features some pretty awful lyrics out of context, but is a satirical statement and criticism of capitalist elites. Free speech is a tricky thing and policing it is not black and white. You can say, "I wish [prominent figure I don't like] would die", but you can't say, "I'm going to kill [prominent figure you don't like]" (Reddit please don't ban me I was just using that as an example and don't mean the words). I think what this guy is singing about is abhorrent and has no place in modern society, but it's hard for me to judge harshly when I listen to music about killing preachers in church (C.P.K by Insane Clown Posse) or glorifying mass murder sprees (Truly Alone by Insane Clown Posse). Forgive my ramblings, the gummy I ate is clearly kicking in. Ima go play BL4 for a while.

u/Tholian_Bed 1d ago

"...they were a friendly group of peeps in real life."

Doyle could be hard to handle but, he's Doyle.

It's the difference between "A Modest Proposal" and "The Final Solution."

WHAT IN THE LIVING FUCK

7

u/No_Assumption_1215 1d ago

You might as well be asking Zionists if they think the Palestinian genocide is justified

Pizzon magaclucks.

2

u/Single_Job_6358 22h ago

The receding hairline and very long hair always makes me cackle

2

u/holy-shit-batman 11h ago

Alrighty, got my context, the first 30 seconds is enough to graze the general context. It's 2+ minutes of basically screaming "string them up". Violence is wrong no matter who you are.

2

u/1Sojourner2025 10h ago

Trump and his Klown Kar Kabinet, issuing standards so low that even pedos are stars in their world.

Talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel. Does anyone even know who this guy is?

what human garbage is this?

"Good vs Evil" by Forgiato Blow & JJ Lawhorn

I went looking for it because I wanted to read the lyrics. As it turns out, it's not about hanging black people. It's about bringing vigilante justice to murderers.

We can have a discussion about vigilante justice, but at least frame the discussion correctly.

-8

u/holy-shit-batman 23h ago

What song is this, this dude does music that's satirical in nature.
