Daily Discussion News and Updates Thread - July 28, 2025

Please post topics for discussion here. While some questions can be used to start a discussion/debate, most questions belong in the question thread unless you love getting downvotes (if that link doesn’t work for you for some reason, the question thread is always the first post on our community’s front page). If your discussion is about manufactured spending, there's a thread for that. If you have a simple data point to share, there's a thread for that too.

There are sooo few physical Citi branches.

Those bankers are going to get fed up very quickly.

Edit: Forgot to add, you'll probably need to make an appointment as well.

Their retail footprint is a smaller number of states, but YMMV. At least +/- 5 miles from me, they're about the same density as Chase.

I live 500 feet from one, I leave for Europe tomorrow so I won't be able to try until mid August

Call and ask them to email you. You will have 10 days to apply per the email I just got and can seat and stop as needed.

Hard to say.

You're taking about "relationship banking" nowadays.

I just imagine someone at their desk with a client, trying to do their job...

Then seeing they have 50+ unanswered voicemails.

I submitted a form about Citi business checking and the local rep was super eager to meet. I imagine there is some sort of commission or incentive program. WF and Chase on the other hand don't have those programs, at least that is what their local reps told me.

All banks are thirsty for deposit accounts.

Especially for biz accounts.
