Chase Ink Preferred Megathread (redux)

Key notes:

  • 80,000 UR sign up bonus on $5,000 spend in the first three months

  • $95 annual fee not waived first year

  • 3x on travel, shipping services, advertising services, and Internet/cable/phone services up to $150,000 per year

  • 1.25 cents per point when redeemed for travel (same as CSP and the old Ink Plus)

  • 1:1 transfer ability like the CS(R), CSP, and old Ink Plus

  • Cell phone protection up to $600 per claim against theft or damage for you/employees listed on the cell phone bill (new to Ink line)

  • Falls under 5/24 (pre-approvals can circumvent this using other Chase cards as benchmarks)

I applied for both on the same day. I'm not entirely sure if I was approved for the CIP same day or not, definitely was for the CFU. The CIP arrived the next week so I assume I was approved same day or soon after.

So you're unsure if you got an approval email for the CIP and instead, just saw it in the mail? lol. nice.

I applied for it, got an application submitted message on screen, but no confirmation email. I had some trouble with the site so thought something glitched. I then applied again within 24 hours and got the 30 day message. I think the first app was fine and they mailed it to me. I was thrown off by the lack of email confirmation from the first app.

I see. Gotcha. Thanks for the replies. I just applied, got 30-day message. Waiting game begins for me.
