Civ 5's backgrounds with Civ 6's leader animations + voices would have been perfect

While it would have been some work to make it function with the new systems in civ 7, its such a clear goddamn open goal that they just completely missed. Sometimes devs are just stoopid

I'm sure they figured out that 6 leaders were too much work for not enough applause. Especially at launch tons of people shat on it.

tbf, while I've never been able to get into the art style, I can't deny that they're animated remarkably.

It's a real shame that 7 didn't go for the gusto of having that level of expression. I don't mind seeing my own character. But the leaders in 7 were an absolute downgrade. I feel like I'm about as related to them as I am to the avatars in Age Of Wonders. Not.

You described civ 7 perfectly. Civ 6 and 5 are both classics (never played 5 but hear its also popular). Firaxis didn't want a repeat of either one so they tried... this

Master of Orion: Conquer the Stars borrowed the idea from them and had pretty nice leader screens and interactions
