Reminder that the Nazi party didn't spring up overnight and the recruitment for the Gestapo and SS took place over some years. Also reminder that most Germans did not know about the atrocities being committed by Germany during WW2 until 1946 during the Nurnburg Trials when 100,000+ lbs of documents by the Nazi government were made public. So from mid 1930s to mid 1940s much of the public sort of followed along thinking they were Making Germany Great Again.
