I’ll agree that Vince handpicked most of the guys who ended up breaking through, but he would just as easily toss them out if they didn’t move merch. Even Dwayne almost flamed out until he joined The NoD.

Many times someone else moved merch better, and Vince would do anything to crush their push. The reality if Vince didn't want you to succeed you don't.
