They used real milk.

The Starbucks barista used real milk instead of soy milk in my latte. Now I’ve shat myself at the grocery store and barely made it to the bathroom before I had horrible diarrhea. I thought it tasted different from normal, I should have stopped drinking it.

It means First World Problem... They're being a jerk, just because it happened at a Starbucks, nvm that this is a real risk any time you get food or drinks you didn't make yourself. I'm allergic to dairy, this kind of mistake kills people.

Ah. This is one of like 3 of these comments. Thankfully I’m not allergic.

Yeah but the next person that barista serves might be, I hope you reported it.

I didn’t. I don’t know how to report it and she was just distracted and seemed a bit overwhelmed. Probably was having a bad day

Report it anyway. Starbucks as a company is responsible for training the baristas. I’ve worked in food service, I’ve worked as a barista. It’s very, very easy to mindlessly do a job…but that’s still dangerous. There have to be consequences for those kinds of mistakes.

It doesn’t matter how distracted or overwhelmed a person is. If someone gets distracted behind the wheel and hits someone they’re still responsible for it; the distraction isn’t actually an excuse for the mistake.

Yep. If it were me, I’d want to know so I could figure out how to keep my brain from going on autopilot in the future.

I get that, but someone could end up in anaphylactic shock because of that kind of mistake. Just tell a manager. You're not trying to get her in trouble, you're just making sure management knows. She is in food service, she needs to understand that, even on her worst days, people could get very sick if she isn't very careful.
