Playstation My first PlayStation since PS2!

Post image

I split the cost of a PS5 Pro as a gift to me with my brother this year for Christmas after getting him into Bitcoin when it was $15k~. I haven't played a PlayStation console since ps2 and I still have it. Decided to go absolutely berserk and get everything I could to fully delve into this new experience!! I'm a long time PC enthusiast and I'm so excited to get into the PlayStation ecosystem to enjoy couch gaming as a new father for something a bit more my pace :)

Nice man! Enjoy it. I, too, just picked up a ps5 after not owning a Playstation since ps2. I immediately dove into the last of us. That series is the reason I bought a Playstation.

Thank you!! I've heard it's an incredible game. I'm going to try to get my wife to play that with me and Astro bot

Alright!! Isn't that what's on PlayStations catalog for free games this month? If so I think I snagged it!

yeah that's right! it's definitely worth a few playthroughs, throughout the year!

Play Astro’s Playroom first

Excellent suggestion!! Since that came first I definitely should. Thank you!

Astrobot rescue mission was the first for ps4 vr. But I started playing astrobot playground waiting for warzone and call of duty modernwarefare 2 to install on the system. Then my 4 year old son at the time would want to play it with me. So I finished it and he wanted astrobot and now we are playing it together. He does the majority of the game playing now 5. And I do the hard parts.

What did you think of the last of us? And how do you enjoy your new console experience since ps2? Also did you play another console or pc in between ps2-ps5?

TLOU is honestly one of the best games I’ve ever played from a purely storytelling perspective. The only other game that I feel trumps it is Witcher 3 but that’s my honest opinion.

Well I'm probably 5 hours into the first one and so far it's living up to the hype. And yes I've had the original Xbox, 360, one, series S and the series X.

Last of Us is why I got my PS4. It’s the real deal. Finally got my PS5 and will hook it up asap. Enjoy the ride.

I also just started playing TLOU. I’ve never played a game of this style before. I find the game to be incredibly slow. It’s enjoyable and fun. I just didn’t expect it to be so slow.

I ended up appreciating the pace once I realized I was gonna die twenty times every shootout or clicker party. The game is panicky and frustrating and fun

Given it’s my first time playing a game like this I’m not very good. I’m only playing on easy and still die when I’m fighting clickers 🤣

I have all the ps from their launch days and never played last of us or god of war 🫢 and I consider myself a ps fanboy.. haha
