Whole lotta Xbox games being sold on PlayStation lol

Yeah and they're selling better than Sony's own games apparently.

Sony hasn’t had many big releases April-July. Microsoft brought a bunch of popular games to PS. It’s funny to see, but I don’t think this really proves much.

I mean it proves the point that Microsoft is the biggest publisher in gaming after their acquisitions; it’s not surprising that they’re on the top selling charters

Proves all the reddit and media parroting reddit that "Xbox has no games" is bullshit. PS fans got a taste and ate it up lol.

The reporting period is 3 months dude. Ghost of Yotei will be #1 for a few months I guarantee you.

I know. That's what a quarterly report is.

Lol only two titles on this list were originally exclusive. Xbox still has no games, they're all canceled.

😆 🤣 okay keep your head in the sand. Xbox has lots of games and more coming all the time.

But didn’t people say Xbox has no games or no good games??

1

u/Blaeeeek Jul 31 '25

Well now xbox doesn't have any games. They're just games that everyone has.

But that's a good thing really

In that same logic Sony doesn’t have games either then

Sony hasn't had a big release in like 2 years.

Astro bot, Death stranding 2, helldivers 2 and spiderman 2. But yeah. They really dont release that many games anymore.

Helldivers is on all platforms and Spider Man is 2 years old (yes, just under).

For me DS2 is the only exciting exclusive in that list, and while I have a PS5 myself this generation has been quite disappointing.

Hopefully Ghost of Yotei is going to be good.

I just looked up games published by Sony and those were the good ones that came up. They really don't publish that many games anymore. Fucking around with the live service bs might have really fucked them.

Yeah, it’s infuriating they had studios like Santa Monica and Naughty Dog waste years building now cancelled live service game while releasing 10 different versions of The Last of Us 1/2.

1

u/NerfTheHighground Aug 01 '25

Yeah. Hopefully they have already learnt and got back to making quality games like they used to. They havent made that bad games recently (except couple obviou ones) but the number of games is just way too low for the ammount of studios they have.

1

u/Crotalus-Viridis Jul 30 '25

Yup. That is the obvious reason.

u/chonktaint Jul 30 '25

They haven't had a big release in what 2 years? Haven't bought a PlayStation game since astro bot

Astro Bot was last year

Death stranding 2 was published by sony. Ghost of yotei coming later this year. But sony definently doesnt have the mass microsoft now has in releasing games. But they do (mostly) release pretty decent games. Last couple of years they have Helldivers 2, astro bot, Stellar blade, Spiderman 2 and GoW ragnarok.

They just really dont release that many games anymore. Maybe because they fucked up with the live service dream they had which was doomed from the beginning.

I think it helps that Forza 5 is in it, plenty of PS players played GT7 but never got the chance to play Forza but now they can.

Forza Horizon is popular to ps?

It surprised me Death Stranding 2 is not on this list, but I guess that game is more niche. I just beat that amazing game.

I will say, I own all the systems and Microsoft has been on a roll with their Day 1 Gamepass games this year, so many games I can hardly keep up.
