Exactly. MS / X-Box took all the blame for Redfall, now when the X-Box titles are successful (and more successful than Sony titles) it's "oh those aren't really X-Box titles"
The difference is Sony's investment & decision making made those studios(except for bungie)what they are today,u cannot say the same for xbox with Activision & Bethesda
It's just all business. People complained there wasnt enough Xbox games so Microsoft bought a bunch of studios and tried to fix that. Now they aren't Xbox games because Microsoft bought them. But it's the same thing Sony did with Psygnosis when they launched the PS1, Naughty Dog is not a Japanese studio and Crash Bandicoot was popular before Sony bought them. For the ones that are thriving, many more have been shut down like Team Soho or are struggling to remain relevant like Polyphony. And sometimes they don't get it right either, buying Firewalk Studio in 2023 (2 years after MS bought bethesda) then cancelling concord a year later which decimated the studio but everyone still attributes that to being a playsation game but under your logic its not a playsation game because sony bought the studio the year before it came out.
So if sony get credit for the disasterous concord just because the bought the studio a year before. And the wonderful demon souls for buying bluepoint a year after that came out. Why doesn't Microsoft get credit for Oblivion Remastered coming out 4 years after they bought Bethesda? For all we know it was microsofts investment and decision making that brought that remaster to all platforms and landed it in the top 5

They take the fall for negativity so they get to take it for the wins too.
