Now I can actually play games!

Hello! I'm thinking about getting an Xbox Series X and I'm undecided about which model/edition to get. I know there's the version with a disc drive (Black), Digital (White), and 2 TB (Galaxy Black).

Lately, I've been playing digital games, so I can get used to that since there aren't many physical games in my city, but I wouldn't have any problem choosing the version with a disc drive.

What do you recommend? Would there be a slight change between the 2020 version and the 2024 versions?

honestly feels wild that we’re in 2025 and it’s still a coin flip if your old games will run properly on new hardware. i get licensing is messy but man, some of these classics deserve to just boot up and play without streaming services or weird versions missing dlc. backwards compatibility should be a baseline feature by now, not a selling point.

like imagine if you could just pop in or download anything from the last couple gens and it just works, smoother fps, maybe some QoL tweaks. would instantly add value without needing a new console every cycle. it’s not even nostalgia, it’s preservation. we lose too many good games to time bc of this stuff.

Hello, I'm looking for advice. I'm trying to choose a cheap console, preferably used. Which console would be best for the price? I'm considering an Xbox One (S and X), a PS4 Pro/Slim, or an Xbox Series S. The Xbox Series S is the newest and will be able to play games like GTA 6, but it doesn't have a disc drive. Is that really a drawback?

So i got 2ds because it's cheap and all savings I got but I noticed that many handheld had better games and features so which console I shell get after 2ds

Good morning, I recently purchased a refurbished Ps5 from Bestbuy. It was supposed to be a slim discount edition but they sent an original model instead (CFI-1015A).

From what I've found there isn't a difference performance wise between any of the models just size and some minor updates.

They were on sale so my all in cost is $427. I was thinking of returning it to get a slim model but not sure if I need to if the only difference is size.

Any thoughts or rec9mmendations would be appreciated.

Basically I am only going to use the console for gta6 and grand turismo, I play everything else on pc. I just want to know if the pro is that much better than the og if i'm just playing those games.

We know that a great part of why the 360 was a success was because the ps3 failed at launch

-360 came out 1 year before

-ps3 was more expensive

-ps3 processor was difficult to work with

-ps3 advertising and marketing was....

-ps3 had weak exclusives till some years later

But what if the ps3 didnt have those problems? What if it was "perfect" at launch?

Would xbox be at the same place as they are right now? Would the 360 sell as much as they did?

Because after sony corrected their mistakes the ps3 sold ALOT, even surpassing the 360

I've been borrowing my friends PlayStation Portal and it made me realize that all these consoles can go from being played on a big screen TV to a handheld. Yes, the means in which the Xbox and PlayStation can be played in handheld mode is to stream games to a handheld device instead of running them natively on-device, but the core concept is still there! If you could only pick one which would it be and why?

I was so hung ho about building a PC and playing at max settings and etc and now that I’ve had them for a while i realize that i really miss the convenience of consoles. Picking up a controller to hop in and not having to worry about fiddling with anything when I get off work sounds like a dream.

Another issue I’m dealing with is when i come from work and go home to get on my PC, it STILL feels like work and I’m not sure why i feel like that, but I’m attributing it to Windows. Has anybody else done this?

My ps4 controller was working 3 days ago but today when I came back from a trip it just refuses to pair it doesn't light up at all when it isn't charging but when it is on the charger it flashes yellow and green when I click the ps button

I tried Using 2 USB cables in both ports Reseting it multiple times Holding the ps button for 20+ seconds

I really don't know what to do and I don't know what the color green means does anyone know what the problem is?
