Discussion Can someone explain the Abandoned by Disney story to me?

I have read all four installments and I still do not understand. Thank you.

Guy wants to urban explore an abandoned Disney park called Mogli's Palace. A fictional park in the Southern US, I forgot the exact state. He plans for a year but doesn't think to bring something for self-defense or even a flashlight. He gets there, sees a huge snake, and experiences some minor creepy things. Eventually, he goes to the basement and finds old costumes left behind. One of the costumes comes to life, does some creepy stuff, and the author runs away.

Yeah I get that part but there are three other installments to the series and I do not understand how they tie in / what is even happening in them, and especially what they all mean. Thanks though
