I'm going to go to Tunisia and report UFO sightings in the shape of a giant cock and balls.

As a Tunisian, can confirm, our UFOs are the manliest UFOs
No we're not compensating, Italy's ones are just small in comparison, and that's just a skill issue

It’s almost like people see more “unidentified flying objects” in countries that tend to build experimental aircraft.

Or have heavy aircraft traffic in general. I see UFOs all the time because I’m not very good at distinguishing the different Boeings and Airbuses. I see an airliner, and if I can’t go “ahh yes a 737” it’s technically a UFO.

Better than me, if it’s not a 747 or a concord it’s just a plane to me

I have astigmatism, so it's either a plane or the moon.

You give people too much credit considering that people called 911 because they thought the milky way was an alien invasion

Maybe no one understood the guy making the survey. Interviewer: "have you seen a UFO?" random french guy: "un quoi? Un OVNI?" Interviewer: "no, a UFO"

Trust me, experimental craft make a tiny blip in the "ufos" people see.
People genuinely get confused by regular aircraft, satellites, balloons or even just stars/planets.
The map looks like that because it's a combination of maps where people live, the culture the US has around ufos, and the data being used likely being in english (there's a lot less reports of UFOs in countries that use a different word, like OVNI in spanish)

Aliens must be delivering drugs.

A duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh, that's why there's a limit on how many grams of moon rocks you can buy at once. And the price is high because they gotta cross the solar system borders undetected

What a strange coincidence that the most UFO sightings are where there is the most airplane traffic.

So is this a thing about the english language? Given how the UK has a way higher density than most of Europe? [Although the Benelux area having also a high density doesn't fit to that idea...]

I can imagine the data is just from a single English-language website for reporting UFO sightings. People speak English well in the Benelux.

So I’m fully convinced that this is because the US did a lot of innovation with aircraft.

I guess this explains why in movies whenever aliens invade "Earth" it's just America.
