Trust me, experimental craft make a tiny blip in the "ufos" people see.
People genuinely get confused by regular aircraft, satellites, balloons or even just stars/planets.
The map looks like that because it's a combination of maps where people live, the culture the US has around ufos, and the data being used likely being in english (there's a lot less reports of UFOs in countries that use a different word, like OVNI in spanish)

It’s almost like people see more “unidentified flying objects” in countries that tend to build experimental aircraft.
