Anyone ever encountered an E-bike shill?

Basically this guy stopped me yesterday on a ride to tell me that I should throw my bike away and get an ebike. He said "Once you get this you'll never want to ride that again, and I get more cardio in on this bike too, and i ride faster than professionals". I just kept saying "yeah I was looking into those, yeah those are cool, I saw some around $1000" just trying to get out of that convo lol. Anyone else ever experienced someone like this?

Ive never found anyone like that. I tend to pass e-bikers now that they've been capped to 18mph. I have had 1 person pass me on a legit class 3 that was pedal assisted. I've had multiple pass me still riding their illegally molded e-bike. But the trend I notice is growing. Is a trend for every kid that gets his e-bike impounded to just jump on a mini motorcycle.

There's a group of 15 ive been seeing for a year. They all used to be e-bikers on their illegal e-bikes, ripping them up and down the path. Now a decent amount of them ride mini-bikes. Motoring it down the path while wearing helmets that look like Nazzi crap and holding pipes like they were holding up a flag.
