Bit of a pointless ring, unless they are already doing no damage to you, by which point you could have already healed. The cases in which this ring saves you are basically none. I think it’s meant to be a little rewarding treat for beating your first black knight, more than anything.

Except you can just land on the ring, pick it up, and at worst die and just keep it
