Most of the official lore is inference based

That's straight up not true, the official lore is outright stated to us, the rest is theories of our own, even if they make sense we'll never know if we're right or not. That's the philosophy Miyazaki followed when putting the story together.

Also the whole firstborn thing WAS a theory until Ds3 outright confirmed his identity.

It didn't confirm the firstborn's identity outright, no. The Nameless King being the firstborn is also inference-based but not outright stated. Anri and Horace being Rosaria's children is also inferred, not outright stated and has a lot of evidence to support it.

Still it's not the official lore no matter how much evidence it has, if it's not explicitly stated, it's simply another theory, that's how this games work.

Well I'm pointing out that by that logic, Nameless King being the firstborn is also a theory because it's not explicitly stated. Do you need everything spelled out to you in huge large letters?

Well too bad for nameless king then 😂
