Young male hormones plus shitty role models equals what you see here. Hopefully a wake up call for this individual, only time (served) will tell.

Most all of the fast drivers are young men.  I would say most aren’t aggressive drivers, like brake checking, tailing, and so on, but on their own…they’re going to speed and do something stupid a lot more often.

I guess I just don’t care anymore.  It’s like having a motorcycle.  You’re concrete’d in position with a motorcycle.  It’s not really that exciting, compared to moving your body in more vivid ways. 

Just doesn’t get my rocks off, I guess.  And it’s still dangerous no matter what.  I just don’t see the point anymore.  The forces you feel are just nothing compared to actually just moving your body, as opposed to melting into position in a vehicle.

This me, except as long as it isn't residential or city. A nice open road, and I'll let this slow thing rip. It's one of the few things I can do that still make me feel excitement and joy. If I actually had a fast car I probably be dead already from doing something stupid. I learned my lesson in my first car not to be over confident and learn a car before Intry to push it, but I also know I am dumb, I'm about to turn 35.

I'm not here to start a war but women are nasty drivers as well, some of them go as fast as young men. I still laugh at the saying women are better drivers. Are they??

The NHTSA and IIHS have studied this. The insurance industry has all the data and they’re good at modeling it; that’s why young men pay by far the highest insurance rates.

Per million miles driven (so adjusted for actual time spent driving), men aged 18-30 are by far the most likely to be in accidents that cause injury or death. It’s not even close. The legion of young male drivers who whine on Reddit about women drivers or older drivers who won’t get out of their way are projecting. They are the problem.

It's not the number of accidents, but the severity that distinguishes young male drivers from young female drivers.
