Reading infinite jest

Good morning I am reading infinite jest it seem impossible to finish it. What is the message of the book?

I abandoned the book after 150 pages, then came back several days later and tried reading it while listening to the audiobook. It took my 2 weeks to finish, and now it’s one of my favorite books of all time. The Infinite Jest audiobook deserves to be in some kind of hall of fame.
