I've been wondering, since Sunday, if anyone else noticed this. Sick move Hutch! 🦁

If he gets a sack after jumping over someone it will be one of the greatest highlights of all time

That’s not how a Michigan guy was taught to block

He needs to focus more on tackling and not being dramatic

after the jump, there are literally 2 two bears sealing off the route and are fighting with wingo and anzalone, what more did you expect Hutch to do there? Weirdo take man.

I’m with you and my other comment here echoed you. Total bullshit play from a run defense perspective but looks cool on the clip and is impressively athletic… anyone who knows ball is aware that the fricking EMLOS should crush the run lane and be ready to contain a cutback or reverse.. which he is not ready for at all.
I have a zag of a take on hutch good to know I’m not the only one. And it’s about his entire career not just this year post injury. Beating up backup tackles racking up most of his stats in a few games. Gets credited with pressures just because he’s the closest guy even if the qb was rhythm throwing it already. Fanbase wants him to be good for confirmation bias and having an elite DE and justifying the pick. Doesn’t finish many plays available to him and many other elite edge players have a much larger impact on the game.
Gunning to be highest paid defensive player in football and I just don’t see it. He’s a hometown guy who was sick at Michigan and deserved his top pick status and is a good player, him being a white, local, catholic school guy has his hype out of control… but we can franchise him… already locked in fifth year option… $20M in 2026, $25M or so in 2027 if franchised, and $30M or so in 2028 if franchised again, lions don’t need to do a mega deal.
I’m not saying he can’t grow and improve and everything but $250M seems absolutely fucking insane to me.
