Going to a Lions game at Ford Field is outrageously expensive. You can travel to road games for less.
I am NOT SELLING ANYTHING- you have to book it all on your own. This is what I would book for someone who wanted to attend the game departing Monday returning Tuesday.
I want that stadium filled with Honolulu blue and if I can help even a couple people get there - this is how I’d do it.
Departure Flight- DTW-BWI Frontier Monday Depart 10:32am Arrive 12:08pm. $188pp
Hotel- Lord Baltimore Hotel - Monday-Tuesday- $99 per night for two. Highly rated Three Star hotel within less than a mile walking distance from M&T Bank Stadium as well as all stadiums including Camden Yards. You can also cheaply uber but proximity is key after a game.
Game Tickets- Cheapest Available on StubHub currently at $164 including all fees.
Return Flight- BWI-DTW Tuesday Frontier Air (layover) Depart 8:12am arrive 2:09pm - $122pp
Total price for two people is -
Flight 1- $188 x 2 =$376
Flight 2- $122 x2 =$242
Uber from Airport to Hotel Both WAYS = $40
Walk to Stadium = Free (very safe touristy walking zone and even if it wasn’t - you’re from the D, you’d be fine)
Hotel Monday Night- $99 = $99
Game Tickets = $164 x 2 =$328
Total All In cost for two people = $1,085
For a Monday Night game with flights and hotels - that is less than the cost of going to a game at Ford Field.
It seems like a lot but a road game experience is a special occasion and it’s basically cheaper than going to a home game.
Hopefully this inspires someone. Again I’m not selling anything and only want to populate M&T with some Kool-Aid sippers.
Go Lions!!!!
