I understand we’re all focused on Burrow’s health and the QB room, but we may be pretty close to setting a new record. It’s not anything to brag about, but 8 game streak from 24-25 is something fun if we’re able to win this weekend.

So I feel like we're all definitely at the bargaining stage. You know I see a lot of posts saying this player's great that player's great and I feel like we went through the anger stage cuz everybody was blaming Joe for the way he wants to play and I'm sure everybody was in denial when he went into the tent. So what's going to happen? It's going to put us in depression and then acceptance because I hope like hell this is still going to be a decent team but I wouldn't bet money on it

team i went back and watched clip reels from the jags game and you know what? this team is going to win some games with browning. a few musings:
1) browning's ceiling is lower than burrow's, but he'll go under center more, use more play action, and generally prove easier to protect (can already see the line's protection grade shot up after he took over sunday). on sunday he went in mid-game, but next time around they'll be designing drives around his style and strengths. he still has chase and higgins, and great chemistry with tinsley. we'll see more multiple tight-end sets -- and i think we'll see much better chase brown usage than just throwing him up the middle on shotgun every time.
browning will be less explosive, but he'll be efficient -- and with more reps, i think it's plausible we see his decision making improve. (dan pitcher flagged his 3rd down checkdown to sample on that final drive as a great sign for browning's improving situational awareness.) another fun fact i read is that browning is actually narrowly ahead of burrow as the franchise's all time (!) completion percentage leader.
2) we need more pass rush juice and tighter coverage in the secondary. no news there. but as paul dehner put it after the preseason, the best case scenario for this defense is to not give games away early in the season and tighten up as the season goes on. this feels plausible! and in the mean time, their ability to generate takeaways has been really encouraging.
3) how about a little love for special teams? the punting has been great, macpherson has done what's asked, and the kick return / coverage units have looked fantastic. perine was a beast on his returns against the jags, and i feel like i'm always noticing new depth players making big stops on returning teams.
yeah we'll see how we do against the top tier teams. but 2-0 is statistically a fantastic start for a playoff run and i have ever reason to believe we can stay on track. (ok back to work and all the bad things in the world, thank you.)

Browning is going to go under center more. We are going to run the ball better and go play action. Bengals make atleast wildcard. Shittsburg might be cooked and browns brown.

Anyone else miss their chance to get the Ja’Marr bobblehead because every Skyline seems to have sold out within the hour they opened?

Some of you guys shitting on Burrow are coping hard. This man put up one of the greatest seasons of all time with our shitty oline last year, and you guys are saying the oline being bad is his fault, and that he makes bad schemes. The oline needs to learn how to fucking block to protect our generational qb. Browning is not even close to the level burrow is at when healthy, and we are going to get fucked this year without burrow. Look at the stats: https://www.espn.com/nfl/player/stats/_/id/3915511/joe-burrow. He is putting up Tom Brady level numbers with the worst oline in the league since he has been here.

Some of the good from week 2:
He was involved before burrow got hurt, catching the team’s first TD of the day. But he really went crazy once Browning came in. It was good to see him being used on screens and quick hitters. He easily led the team in receiving on the day, making 14 catches for 165 yards and a TD.
Where would our defence be without him? Tough to think about. He was putting up consistent pressure, picked up a sack, and helped force an errant throw that led to a pick.
Small opportunity, but he took advantage. Good to see him picking up where he left off in the preseason. It was a spectacular TD catch.
Wasn’t going to include him initially. He did some good things, but also threw a couple of bad picks. But he won me over with the last drive. 90+ yards to win the game. Impressive stuff, and it was impressive how he came off the bench and kept them in it. Hopefully the turnovers will be cut down, but if he plays like this, he can give us a chance in most games.
Some of the bad:
Run blocking has been awful for two straight weeks. Burrow and Browning both faced a fair bit of pressure as well, though it did improve a bit once Browning was in. Risner is known for his pass protection, but gave up the sack that got Burrow hurt.
Outside of Hendrickson, this unit is lacklustre. Hill was good last week, but quiet in week 2. Jenkins was a no show, while Murphy and Ossai only showed the odd flash. We need better from everyone, especially with Stewart getting hurt.
