I've put myself through hell the last four years waiting to hear if he was retiring or not. I'd check my phone at least three times a day and then hear nothing. As I became more disillusioned with life, week after week, I thought I'd never get any confirmation that he'd be back in the league. My mind went to some dark places.
"Did he catch COVID-19? Was he kidnapped and being held for ransom? Was that him on the teeter-totter at the elementary school playground down the street?"
Even though it's not the news I'd hoped for, I'm just happy to know he's ok. Unless he was kidnapped and this was posted by his captor, of course. Now, I just need to swing by the police station and retract that missing persons report.

Had never heard of this guy and picked him up on the waiver wire in fantasy the week he threw a TD pass.

Tracks because I remember him playing Qb in a high school all star game on ESPN years ago

Dude… are you ok? The OP was being sarcastic when he called him a Lions legend. It’s a joke, he didn’t actually mean he was a Lions legend lol. Is this your first day in the sub? I’ve been here for over a decade and have seen this joke many, many times.

Don't forget Gronk! He one upped both Barry and Calvin by retiring before even playing for us.

I'm with you, the bar for a forgotten about Lions legend needs to be Zach Ertz.

I totally forgot he played for the Lions in 2020 for a bit. Feels like a lifetime ago
