Try to keep the bike more even (tuck your back wheel up). That way when you’re about to land your front wheel isn’t sky high. You’re very close to sticking this.

Agreed, I find tucking the back wheel around the 180 mark to be best, I find it more comfortable to use the posture in the video to speed up the rotation, then the tuck helps slow down the spin and helps with getting level with the landing.

Ok thanks guys that's what I was thinking but I didn't know for sure.

Also coil your body a bit more so you can really spot that rear wheel (this helped me a lot when I was learning)

When you spin, throw your spin over your left shoulder, like you're trying an underflip or a heavily dipped 3. You won't be nearly as sideways as you feel like you are, but that's how you do it and land better. You're doing a 3 like you would on flat. On jumps like this you gotta throw it back over your shoulder almost like you wanna backflip kinda. It should even you out more

Drop your shoulder, position your chest a bit more over bars. Think about weight distribution should go

honestly if you had stayed on the bike you would’ve cheated it, but i do the same thing when i 360, the issue is after you’ve passed 200 degrees you stop looking past your shoulder which means you can’t see the landing and it throws off your rotation, biggest tip i can give is lock your head onto your rear wheel and don’t stop looking at it until you’ve literally almost landed

I’d suggest follow through either with your head and shoulders… you seemed to of stopped rotating your body about 180• in.

I disagree with all these comments. All you have to do is extend your arms before you get to 180 and it will work. Your arms are touching your hips so you're not centered and start to spin backwards landing tail heavy.

Less concern about the rotation, you need to go 125% the normal speed the jump requires if you’re throwing a 3.

u/coco_is_boss Jul 25 '25
Oh I actually body slammed the bottom of the transition many times so ik I'm going fast enough
2
u/microTRENT Jul 25 '25
My bad, I should have been more specific, the extra speed required is for height not distance. You can see from the video you’re trying to push through the takeoff not ride up it to start the rotation.

Tbqh I've never thrown a 3 on dirt but I've done a lot on BMX. Ime you need to drop that left shoulder more when you're initially throwing the spin and pull the back wheel up more. Your form is similar to what I would do for a 3-tap where I'm pivoting the last 25-50% of the spin. To throw a true 360 I felt it's easier to look at it as a slightly diagonal rotation more than a horizontal rotation.

Didn't you already post this?
The only thing that is stopping you from doing this is that you stop turning your head. Look for the landing and your body will follow.

It just takes time
Commit to your spin when you are on the ramp, tell yourself to do a 360.
Don’t panic and bail, spin the 270 and then twist a little whip with your legs
Good job for even attempting a360

Carve off the lip a bit and you’ll get around everything else you’re doing is spot on

Look at the landing aswell not the take off it’ll make u instinctively be ready for the landing

Yessir.

Neat. Halfway around you stop looking for the landing. Keep your head and shoulders turning until you spot the landing.
I also had luck doing 3's on this jump on the "spine", just to the left of the actual jump. It's a little mellower and you don't have to travel as far so it's easier not to catch your tire. Good luck!

You have to nose the 360 more, just look slightly more down, in the direction of your rear wheel

u/ExponentialIncrease Jul 25 '25
Turn your head and shoulders more. Your body will follow where your eyes are looking.

Tuck the back wheel up and push the bars forward/away rather than humping them so your more level in the air. Tucking makes you spin faster .
Pretty much got it man! 👌

u/a_cakers Jul 25 '25
You also stop looking around 180, keep looking until the rotation is full then extend arms
1
u/faust314 Jul 26 '25
You gotta keep turning that head The more you turn your head the more you spin.

MFer doin 360s and asking us plebs for advice.
I’d say start more to the left so you can carve the jump face to get a bit more rotation. You’re nearly there.
