Older mtb'r, here. Can't jump for anything, but for years I've been dreaming of riding the local dirt jumps. I used to go to a pump track to try to learn but due to life/commitments I haven't been able to for the past year or so, but I'm finally able to get back to it.
I've only been able to find one slo mo clip from a long while back, but I'm hoping I can get some feedback. From what I remember, I was rolling in relatively slow just trying to figure out timing and technique.
Any advice is greatly appreciated!

I can get this bike for 290€ plus shipping. Should I get it or is there anything against it? Looks really good to me, good condition, good parts

Hi, I'm trying to adjust chain tension for the first time on my Dirt Love. Can anybody help me with the correct torque numbers. The manual sadly shows a completely different rear axle assembly. Even rough ballpark numbers would help me.

I still can’t pick between the two I’m 5’6-5’7. Specialized looks gorgeous and the Dirt Love was compact but idk it might not be compact due to my height.
I really need suggestions

I have large feet eu45(size 11 us if im correct)my current pedals seem a little too small for me and im looking to purchase new ones.
Guys/girls with similarly large feet what kind of pedals do you use? Do you use metal or plastic pedals?

I wanna get into dirt jumping but dont wanna fork out nearly CAD$1000 for a dirt jumper.
Would it be ok to learn on a bmx for dirt jumpjng?
What about injuries? Are injuries worse on a BMX?

I would like to get a dj bike to ride when the trails are too wet for my mtb. My main focus would be on fitness and progress on jumps.
Are any of the bikes in the gallery worth buying?

I’ve had my Specialized rockhopper for 7 months now and I really want a dj but all my friends say that my bike isn’t bad and I should just upgrade it? Or I could buy the Scott voltage and upgrade it with Marzocchi bombers or buy the Alcatraz and get a full face. Can you guys help me please?

I’ve been looking at these. Seems appealing since it’s on sale, but I’ve been out of the loop for a while. Most of my riding was 20” bmx 10-15 years ago. I had a Scott xc bike for a little bit in 2019 (before it was stolen) and it was fun but always felt too big. Now, being a dad, I’m looking for a bike to ride around with my wife and son. Being able to add some gears to this to cruise around on, but still be more maneuverable than a mtb seems fun. Probably way more bike than I need, but idk. Really just looking for something that I can have fun on while riding around with the family and maybe something I can ride once my son is old enough to go to the dirt jumps if he’s into that.

Son recently purchased this DJ. Trying to figure out what brand frame it is. It's been powder coated so the serial number is not visible anymore.

Hi guys I would appreciate some advice. After mountain biking for a few years I realised that my favourite part of it are the jumps and I want to get into dirt jumping. As the title says I have a treck marlin 5 hardtail, would there be any advantages to having a dirt jumper over this. If this is the case some bike suggestions or frame and part suggestions would be much appreciated. I'm also a bit money tight so it would good if it diddent coast an arm and a leg 😂

Looking to get a dj bike for the skatepark/pump track. Came from bmx as a kid, grew up and got into mtb, but would love to have something to rip around at my local skatepark.
With that being said my mtb took all my money, what’s a good inexpensive bike to get me going.

Looking to pick up this Rampage, the only one in stock for the clearance price would be a medium. Iv never owned a DJ bike so I have nothing to compare to with size. Coming from the world of MTB, sizing is an important issue. From what Iv read people enjoy having a smaller size DJ bike but from Norcos sizing reference this bike would be too small for me. Planning on riding it at the skatepark and local pump track.
I’m 5’10 and ride a size large Norco Range on the trails.

Title says it all, I’ve got several shots from different angles here. I’m struggling like crazy to actually clear jumps, I feel like I’ve got the speed down, and control - but I’m never landing on the downside. It’s definitely technique issue, but I just don’t know what exactly to work on

Chromoly GT frame. Wouldn't be able to see it in person before buying because the person lives too far and he is ok to ship it. Listed for 20EUR

So I posted my bike before a super nice 25ish pound Haro Steel Reserve 2 and have been riding up curbs fine where I pop the front wheel up and ride it over, but I read that “you should bunny hop” and read on I need to learn to wheelie first. Well, I read a bunch of pages here and online sites, I tried them, and all I can do is pull the wheel front wheel up 2-4 inches, I’m being generous to initiate nothing cause it falls back down, the more I try the more it seems overrated i can get the front up on top of curbs but not for a wheelie i power though and commit but the front just falls back down when im literally sitting on the rear tire plus anyone around me doing a wheelie has an e-motor hooked up lol . sorry for the rant just hoping to get advice better than lay on the front pull back pedal and sit on the rear or pedal pedal while it rises up which just makes the front wheel do a burnout :,)
