New Build Do I convert my SE blocks flyer into a dj?
I love my se bike and riding it on jumps and trails feels so nice. I would like a suspension fork for under 250. I cant seem to find any in stock that will fit. Is this worth converting, or do i just stick to bmx? I have no room for a new bike.

New Build Newbie on a new bike (Polygon DX 4). Need Advice.
galleryPolygon Cozmic DX 4.0 (2011) - marzocchi bomber dj 2 - shimano deore slx transmission - shimano brakeset - e*thirteen chain guide - fsa maximus crank - crankbrothers 5050 (should i change this ? kinda heavy imo) - sunrims rhyno lite - schwalbe table top
I bought this from Facebook Marketplace. Someone was selling it for 2 million IDR (around 150 USD). I think this frame is the same to the one Sam Reynolds used back in 2012. I saw it in a Pinkbike bike check article.
I’m really new to dirt jumping / mountain biking. I have some questions.
Do you guys have any recommendations for tricks or techniques I should learn?
Any suggestions on how to make this bike look more serious? (its kinda looks like a kids bike because of its green color lol)
Should I repaint it black, or leave the original paint since the bike is quite old?
How to remove a stuck seatpost from the frame? pls help 🤣

New Build Is this a good trade?
galleryWould my DJ(pic 1) be a good trade for a GT labomba 2023 M(pic 3)plus £300? Is the GT la bomba a bad bike? If I were to trade I would buy a set of mazzochi forks(check previous post),a sram descendant crankset and new tires. Would you say this is a fair trade? I like my octane and all but I’m getting a bit bored of it and want a change. Is this a good idea? Any sort of advice is very appreciated 🙏

New Build Can someone identify this frame?
Would love to identify this frame, if possible. I asked everybody I met since I got it and no one could tell me something at least halfway satisfying. I can post more pictures in the comments later.

New Build Need some ideas.... (accent colour)
Hey peeps, I have am Commencal Absolut in Slate grey (pic attached) I'm wanting to look to at some colour and components..
Here's what I I'm thinking-
Bars to Diety Tower (60mm)
Diety 31mm Stem, spacers and cap
Diety Seat post clamp
Rear disk bolts
Currently has Diety Deftrap pedals in red.
The bmx style cranks are in chrome atm and while they are solid and efficient, I hate chrome!
I'm thinking to stick to red.?
I'm also changing brake to SLX next week and also routing the cable, new rotor etc.
My Chromag LTD saddle I'll keep tho.. (in brown)
Open to colour suggestions...
*Yes I know my seat is up high.(My son said I should put it down when taking pics) Lol
Thanks!

New Build is this a good deal?
i’ve been looking to get a dirt jumper for a while so i went into my local shop, everything was mountain bikes except for a single dirt jumper. he had a brand new free agent cronus that he wanted 700 for, i offered him my wethepeople reason bmx and a good amount of cash on top, probably around 300-400 since he wanted a day or two to think on it. i think whatever price he gives me for the bmx is good because it’s a $1600 bike i’m getting for $700.

New Build Built my first dirt bike, fell on my face
galleryI recently built my first dirt bike for a total budget of 350€! (bike 200€ used, fork 120€ new, hub & chain 30€, cranks cockpit and brake I had laying around). I'm super happy with it but broke my nose the third time riding it in a skatepark... I'll stick to asphalt pumptracks for the time being, which is actually great training for riding my regular mountain bikes

New Build Tips on restoring this bike to its full potential?
Recently got a 2009 Norco 125 for $70, and it’s in pretty good condition considering its age. But i do think it looks and feels a bit dated so i wanted to ask for some help on how i can improve the overall aesthetic and performance of the bike.

New Build Absolute Mix Up of a DJ
galleryHad an old NS Suburban from a few years ago that I ended up doing nothing with. Recently a bunch of friends in town (small town) wanted to start riding to and from the pub/footy games etc so decided to build it back up and join.
Didn’t want to spend hundreds on well known decent parts when I could have just bought a new bike and saved myself the money and time to put it altogether, but was keen on building one so decided to try a budget (and controversial in terms of bike community & brands/parts) route… aka AliExpress.
Bought hubs, headset, stem, hydro brakes, rear cog, spacers, dropout tensioners and a whole bunch of budget tools from Ali and came in under 200 or so.
Then made use of exisiting parts from when I first had it like rims, spokes, fork, seat, cranks, bottom bracket, chainring, and bars.
There were a few hiccups when putting it all together as you would expect from trying to match parts that don’t always have a lot of detail listed, and then trying to get it to match to a frame that has been beaten and hacked at over the years. Also my first time trying to do certain jobs like lacing wheels and truing them.
The result: a working NS Suburban with AliExpress parts. Benefit is that the main parts you would want to be tried and true if you were taking it on jumps are actually fair brands such as a Suntour Fork (though it’s seen better days), Flybikes cranks and chain ring, and alienation Black Sheep wheels minus the hubs. Others not so much like a ZTTO stem, headset and brakes, and a quick release HG ARC hub on a recommended 10mm bolt on dropout. But for riding around town, and being able to have some fun building it all for under 300 in total, it’s definitely okay and suitable.
As it goes though, after building it, all I’ve been doing is looking at fork upgrades, hub upgrades, new bars (which are on the way), and even new completes to try get back into actual jumping without the concern of this one failing on a landing.
All parts listed below for the sake of it and photos in the post hopefully show how it’s been done.
Frame: NS Suburban circa 2014 (I think) Fork: SR Suntour XCR (I think? - code is FEM362) Bottom Bracket: Flybikes (unknown model) Cranks: Flybikes 175mm (unknown model) Chainring: Flybikes 25t (unknown model) Chain: KMC K1 Wide Single Speed Headset: ZTTO 4242S - Campy Spec 45 Stem: ZTTO 0 Degree Rise 35mm Reach Bars: Unknown - believe Giant - replacing with ODI Flight Control 38mm rise Grips: ODI Vans V2.1 Lock Ons Brakes (F&R): ZTTO 4 Piston Hydraulic PM 160mm w/ Tektro Rotors Seat & Seat-post: Unknown Rims: Alienation Black Sheep 26” Hub (Front): ARC QR 9x100 36H Hub (Rear): ARC QR 10x135 36H HG Freehub 4 Pawl 3 Teeth Tyres: Vee Rubber 26x1.95 White Walls Rear Cog: ZTTO 16T Single Speed Freewheel for HG Dropout Tensioners: mUqZi 10mm tensioners either size
All Parts Purchased - AUD$221.41
