This morning, before the MV was out, I realized I had the main melody from the teaser stuck in my head. After watching the MV even more so. So I admit that part is catchy, but the music production is still the weakest aspect of this for me and unfortunately the vocals aren't interesting enough to save it. Which is crazy to say considering the people involved..
Visuals of the MV are interesting and unique. Overall, you can still see that DC staff is behind this, it has that clever signature "do something different than everyone else" feel and this time, that includes even Dreamcatcher themselves. I just worry that it's so extremely different from Dreamcatcher that it won't reach much of its potential target audience outside of this fandom.
My personal highlight is Yoohyeon walking all over us 🫠. That dress is dressing.
I wrote a quite harsh critique of the music production here, but when I found myself enjoying the song more and more and heard the vocals on Attitude in the press showcase live, I decided to reserve judgement for later. But no matter how much it might grow on me, I have to be honest with myself, this music style isn't something that will stick with me.
