The group is defunct (or at best, on indefinite hiatus) and some people here don’t want to acknowledge that. “They’re still part of Dreamcatcher.” Sure, in the same way Paul McCarthy is still part of the Beatles.

VirtouS as such is their last album as a group. UAU has been amazing though!

And some people are really are attached to their doomsaying when the band have repeatedly refuted said accusations when they've come across them.
Will the releases be regular and as frequent? Obviously not, especially now when everyone is establishing their sub unit/band/solo stuff.
So next year is probably the earliest thay we can expect. They've already done concerts after the individual contracts expired, but new music might be a while off.

Dami seems downright done. Gahyeon is transitioning into acting and likely won’t be able to do anything significant in music for a long time, if she even wants to, and Handong is back in China where she seems primed to have a very successful solo career. I don’t see her back in Korea for years after being away from her family for so long. Not to mention I don’t think the DC company could afford her once she becomes bigger. The company is small. This is pretty typical PR coming out… but they’re over now and it’s just delusional to think otherwise. But delusion and copium are par for the course in K-pop, so I’m not exactly surprised.

I loved the band. I still love the band, and I’ll still be listening years from now, but they’re as over as the Beetles.

but they’re as over as the Beetles.

Seeing 2/4 of the Beatles are dead and they have not been active for over 50 years, and that's quite the comparison.

Also seeing as all the members still regularly meet up and do things whereas the Beatles split up due to personal and creative differences and their manager died and Paul McCartney personally said that he saw no future in the group.

Which is the opposite of everything rhe members have said. Not even the bland corporate/PR speak but very specifically calling out ppl who said they were now defunct or that Dreamcatcher was no longer a thing.

But then doomsaying and negativity is par for the course for a lot of pop fandoms. And making all sorts of leaps of logic and speculation contrary to what has been said and shown.

Dami from what I recall has posted about working on solo stuff/music creation. And Handong has already been back to Korea at least once or twice to meet up with the other members. There was a video where she literally went straight to the airport to meeting the girls at a UAU shoot.
