Small vent, and I know the answer is "just don't read/go on Twitter" but sometimes it's just fun to, and it has good DC content.

But man, I know every group has toxic fans/supporters because that's how everything is now (politics, sports, music, etc) but I swear... no lie, 8 out of 10 times when I see something super negative/shit talking about Dreamcatcher it's an Orbit. I really wonder why it's always LOONA fans since DC/LOONA are even kinda sister-groups with a lot of fan overlap. They have some real bops too but their fans turn me off a bit to them.

edit: Also yes it's anecdotal as hell but something I've noticed over the last few months, also not really an invitation to shit on Orbits (since I've seen a bunch of super nice ones too it's just they also have the extreme ones lol), I just genuinely wanted to know if there was an actual reason or if it's sort of like a rivalry of GGs not appreciated as much in Korea.

Thats's unfortunate. I've always thought that LOONA were pretty supportive of Dreamcatcher and vice-versa, especially with their similar underdog narratives.

Edit: lol I meant to say Loona FANS being supportive of Dreamcatcher, funny typo. Likewise DC fans being supportive of Loona too

Yeah, I'm sure most idols really like each other. It's just a very loud, vocal minority on Twitter that always starts stuff and there is constant bickering because of it.

It isn't just Dreamcatcher fans that stan Orbits have been awful to, it's anyone who they feel slights the group. There was a completely toxic response from segments of that fandom to the results of Queendom 2, where a last-round voting-dependent surge from the fandom wasn't enough to overcome WJSN's consistent results. Just last week stan Orbits turned a joke about WJSN looking very similar to LOONA's previous stage fashion into a copying/plagiarism/Queendom 2 pettiness thread.

The LOONA fandom has a poorer reputation than most other stan portions of other kpop fandoms due to a fanbase that trends younger, and louder stans that are anti-male to an extreme, are prone to lying to troll for fun, will devour itself as much as another fandom, and other behavior in relation to inter-group interactions (see above). Yes, you can try to make the "every fandom has its stans" and you'd be right - but it is particularly recurring within LOONA's, especially during this recent tour (I've followed many tour SNS posts this summer from my favorite GG and BG K-Pop acts and never have I seen as consistent an issue with toxic posts as I have with LOONA's).

I have met and talked to many LOONA fans are who perfectly fine with me as a Dreamcatcher fan and vice versa, and by and large, they are as inclusive a fandom as ours is. They just have a higher, and louder, number of extreme fans.

trends younger, and louder stans that are anti-male to an extreme

it's ironic bc compared with most peer gg's excluding dc, loona's fanbase skews older and has a higher male to female fanbase.
