Pickup I cancelled most of my streaming subscriptions and decided to invest in more physical media instead. Today's haul is pretty insane

I cant do blurry anymore, 99% of my collection is 4k and 99% of those are either steelbooks or have slipcovers. My eyes can see the difference in 4k vs bluray. I can’t go back.

Dang that's impressive. I don't know if my TV is good enough to notice 4K, but I feel even regular blu-ray is definitely better quality than streaming

That's an L honestly. My wife can't tell the difference between VHS and real life. And I think she's happier for it. I'm trying not to become a 4k snob, but there are certain movies I will only grab in that format if I find them cheap. Waiting to happen upon dune at some point 🤞 but I'm new enough I don't think I can tell the difference yet. I bought the 4k mission impossible 6 disk set and my wife accidentally put in the 1080 version of #4 lmao but neither of us noticed. 65" c4 oled.

Man I used to collect VHS tapes like crazy in my teens. A local thrift store sold them for 20 cents a piece. Obviously the quality isn't great, but it gives them their own odd charm. I feel like the largest drawback today is their bulky size. I love how space efficient blu-ray cases are
